Writing is described as a lonely process. Countless hours in front of a blank page or a page unvetted. Endless hours inside your head, as ideas trade places from one story to another.
… but the end result is something that can be shared by everyone.

Oskar Westin – Summer’s Breath

Creativity can be loud and vivacious or quiet and understated but equally effective. How you approach your art is unique to you. Make a splash or be the drop in the pond that causes ripples. Whatever the way, make it your own.

I prefer to create quietly.

Lover's Compendium and A Life Fantastic. Short stories by Oskar Westin

Lover’s Compendium is a collection of stories that started as or were related to love from the start. From naïve expectations to seasoned reality, these short stories explore discovery, negotiation, loss, and exploitation, all in the name of love.

A Life Fantastic reflects reality against an unreal but plausible universe. A conversation about a drink at a bar can turn into an introspective tale about an unloved beverage, a mention of screeching insects, and questions why they are so noisy to begin with. A sorrowful minor scale can lift spirits when tuned to the right frequency.
